seretide price uk Dear Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts Parent:

As you may recall, the Texas Education Agency (“TEA”) and our school have been engaged for sometime in discussions related to potential confusion over past school years’ student activity fees. As you know, this fee was intended to cover supplemental costs and to support our school, enabling it to provide students with exceptional opportunities and extracurricular activities involving the many fine arts experiences scheduled throughout each school year. We want to sincerely thank you for your tremendous support. We have reached a successful resolution with TEA and are processing refunds for parents based on certain fees for the 2013-14 school year that may not have fully aligned with fees allowed under the Education Code. The calculations were provided to TEA and TEA has directed that we process these refunds. If you are eligible for a refund, you will receive a follow up email on Monday, June 1 with more information. Refund checks will be available for pick-up as early as Tuesday, June 2.

We wish to reiterate that FWAFA does not issue or charge student fees for materials, supplies, or activities that are required as part of its required educational program or graded course offerings. Instead, student fees are only assessed for certain expenses authorized by the Texas Education Code, including but not limited to supporting student organizations or clubs, admission fees for attending extracurricular activities, providing extracurricular and supplementary programming and fine arts activities (above and beyond the basic course), fees for the cost and maintenance of musical instruments, uniforms and similar equipment owned or rented by the organization, and other allowable costs in accordance with Texas law. Our school is tuition free.

While we worked with TEA to resolve these concerns, no fees were charged for the 2014-15 school year and we were able to maintain programming based on donations. However, we are finalizing a new fee schedule for 2015-2016 to ensure that we comply with Texas law. Students will only be charged allowable fees. As in the past, if a student or family is facing economic hardship, we will also provide a process to apply for fee waivers.
